Technical Discovery & Assessment
- Analyze current DevOps maturity levels and identify improvement opportunities
- Assess existing DevOps toolchains and identify integration challenges
- Evaluate development and deployment processes for optimization potential
- Address technical concerns about security, compliance, and performance, and assess cost optimization opportunities
- Conduct DevOps maturity assessments and present findings to stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Design end-to-end DevOps transformation roadmaps
- Design AWS infrastructures from the ground up
- Create CI/CD pipeline architectures and automation strategies
- Design monitoring and observability solutions
- Design comprehensive disaster recovery procedures
- Develop migration plans from traditional to cloud-native DevOps practices
- Lead technical workshops on DevOps best practices and toolchain optimization
- Demonstrate DevOps tools and platforms through live demos and POCs
- Position modern DevOps practices against legacy approaches
- Map customer pain points to specific DevOps solutions
- Create detailed technical proposals for DevOps transformation projects
- Document current vs. future state architectures
- Estimate the cost of AWS services usage utilizing the AWS Pricing Calculator
- Develop the WBS, project plans, and team composition
- Collaborate with sales teams to qualify DevOps opportunities
- Respond to RFIs/RFPs with technical DevOps content
- Support contract negotiations with technical feasibility assessments
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with implementation capabilities
- Provide technical handoffs to project teams once deals are closed
- Share market insights with sales and delivery teams
Technical Skills:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional Certification
- Deep expertise in AWS DevOps services (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodeCommit)
- Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Container technologies (ECS, EKS, Docker, Kubernetes)
- CI/CD tools and methodologies
- Monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray, third-party integrations)
- Configuration management and automation tools
- Security and compliance in DevOps environments
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including presentations, live speeches, storytelling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Good command of English (written and verbal)
- 2+ years of customer-facing pre-sales or sales engineering experience
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience with AWS cloud environment, including:
- CI/CD, IaaC, Logging and Observability, DevSecOps, and Configuration Management
- AWS cost optimization and cloud modernization
- AWS cloud migrations
- Understand compliance requirements (SOC, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and their impact on DevOps
- Knowledge of DevOps performance measurement
- Public speaking or conference presentation experience
- Additional AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Security)
