We have over 900 team members working across the county in various professional fields.About the jobThe ICRC Protection Unit seeks a competent Protection Field Officer to join our team in Kyiv. This role will contribute to the day-to-day implementation and development of the safe cross-border passage program (SCBP) as its primary responsibility. The safe cross-border passage program seeks to support and facilitate family repatriation/reunification activities.Start date: As soon as possibleYour Tasks and Responsibilities
  • As a member of the protection team, plan and implement protection activities
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of protection-related projects and programs
  • Collect, compile, and interpret protection-related information with appropriate care for staff risk management
  • Contribute to the analysis of the security, socioeconomic, cultural, and political environment relevant to the ICRC, share pertinent information with team members, and report any change in the situation
  • Analyze and contribute to internal reporting and activity programming
  • Develop and maintain contact with the municipal/regional authorities, URCS branches, the local population, suppliers, etc.

  • Ukrainian citizenship or permanent residence permit in Ukraine
  • University degree or relevant professional experience
  • 3-5 years' previous professional experience in the field of social/political/economic science or similar
  • Excellent command of English and Ukrainian and Russian (written and spoken)
  • Computer literate
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and willing to learn
  • Ability to work independently, as well as effectively under supervision
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to work within a diverse team and establish and maintain good working relations in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, and multi-disciplinary environment
