We are seeking a talented Pre-Sales AWS Solutions Architect with customer-facing sales skills to join our engagement team. This role is a crucial link between technology and sales, ensuring that potential customers understand the value of the solutions being offered and that the proposed solutions are technically sound and aligned with their needs..Join our growing pre-sales team and play a key role in expanding our AWS practice across global markets. This is an excellent opportunity to combine technical expertise with customer engagement in a consultative sales environment.Key Responsibilities:
Technical Discovery & Assessment
  • Conduct deep-dive technical assessments with potential customers to understand their current architecture, pain points, and business objectives
  • Identify gaps between existing systems and desired outcomes
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
Solution Design & Architecture
  • Design comprehensive technical solutions that address client requirements aligned with the company's expertise and capabilities
  • Create architecture diagrams, technical proposals, and proof-of-concept demonstrations
  • Ensure solutions align with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles and best practices
Proposal Development & Technical Documentation
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop compelling technical proposals
  • Create detailed statements of work, technical specifications, and project timelines, including accurate effort estimates and resource requirements
  • Estimate AWS services usage cost using the AWS Pricing Calculator
Customer Engagement & Presentations
  • Lead technical discussions and solution presentations with business executives and technical teams
  • Conduct architecture reviews and technical workshops
  • Map customer pain points to specific solutions
Competitive Positioning
  • Differentiate our solutions from competitors based on technical merit
  • Highlight our AWS partnership benefits and specialized expertise
  • Address technical objections and concerns during the sales process
Sales Support Activities
  • Collaborate with sales teams to qualify opportunities
  • Respond to RFIs/RFPs and technical questionnaires
  • Support contract negotiations with technical feasibility assessments
Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with implementation capabilities
  • Provide technical handoffs to project teams once deals are closed
  • Share market insights with sales and engineering teams
Required Competence and Skills:
Technical Skills:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise design and integration patterns
  • Strong skills in Software Architecture evaluation methods and quality attributes identification
  • Experience with microservices and distributed systems architecture
  • Knowledge of database design and data architecture patterns
  • Understanding of security architecture and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and IaC tools
  • Strong skills of AWS Well-Architected Framework principles
  • Strong skills on AWS migration strategies
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including presentations, live speeches, storytelling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Good command of English (written and verbal)
Experience Requirements:
  • 2+ years of customer-facing pre-sales or sales engineering experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Software Development and Software Architecture, including:
  • Programming on Java, Python, or C#
  • AWS cloud based solutions design and implementation
  • Application modenrization and re-engineering
  • AWS cost optimization and cloud modernization
  • AWS cloud migrations
  • Containerization tools and technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS)
Nice to have:
  • Understand compliance requirements (SOC, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and their impact on software solutions
  • Experience with enterprise sales cycles and stakeholder management
  • Public speaking or conference presentation experience
  • Additional AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Security, Developer, Data Engineer, ML, etc)
